A company is currently being selected in Azerbaijan for the construction of the country's first industrial battery-based energy storage system, Azernews reports, citing Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, as he told journalists. Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has said that Azerbaijan is building an energy storage facility with a capacity of 50 MW. Shahbazov made these remarks at the energy forum in Baku, Caliber.Az reports. "We are building a 50-megawatt energy storage facility and a battery storage system for additional four MW," he noted.
