To solve the problem of power imbalance caused by the large-scale integration of photovoltaic new energy into the power grid, an improved optimization configuration method for the capacity of a hydrogen storage system power generation system used for grid peak shaving and frequency regulation is proposed.

The connection of energy storage devices to the power grid can not only effectively utilize the power equipment, reduce the power supply cost, but also promote the application of new energy, improve the stability of the system operation, reduce the peak–valley difference of the power grid, and play an important role in the power system.

Principle of the evaluation method The peak-regulation capability of a power grid refers to the ability of power supply balancing with power load, especially in the peak load and valley load periods. Specifically, the adjustment range of power supply in one day should be high enough to reach the peak load and low enough to reach the valley load.
