How do I set up OTDR?
1) Open the Settingstab and select all the required measurement settings. In many cases the defaults settings can be used for an initial test of a fiber. 2) STARTConnect the Fiber Under Test (FUT) to the unit, and click the button to start the measurement. The OTDR status is displayed in the black bar on top.
How does OTDR work?
When the unit is switched on, the OTDR software is launched automatically, and the user interface appears as shown in Figure 10. The black status indicator shows the actual status of the instrument and gives basic usage instructions. It will display Readywhen the application is launched and a con- nected OTDR is found.
How do I install OTDR drivers?
Connect the unit with the supplied USB cable to a PC running Windows 10. Install the LOR-200/220 software. Connect the power supply to the unit. Press the power switch to start the unit. If the PC is connected to the internet all required drivers will install automatically. Otherwise install the drivers shipped with the OTDR.
